Claire M. Wisnewski 96, of Harrison died on 8/14/15.
Visiting will be at The Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive Kearny on Wednesday 4-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be officiated on Thursday at 10am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Harrison. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Harrison, Mrs. Wisnewski, "Cioci Claire", lived in Paterson before returning to Harrison to live with her niece Carole in 1992 after the death of her husband Wallace.
She was employed at the Textile Mills in Paterson until her retirement. She volunteered at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church as substitute CCD Catechist. She also cleaned the church and laundered the altar linens at the church as well. She was a member of The Cancer Guild and Senior Citizens at Holy Cross Church, Harrison.
She was pre deceased by her husband of 46 years Wallace Wisnewski, her parents John and Maryanna Klickier Sisco and her siblings Anna Metrione, Helen Kulish, Regina Botch and Sylvia, Joseph and Edmund Sisco. She is the Cioci (aunt) of Marilyn DeBacco, Constance Crisitello, Wallace Metrione, Carole Anderson, Marilyn Reidy and Francine Azzara. She is also survived by many great and great, great nieces and nephews and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers donations to The Our Lady of Czestochowa Church Restoration Fund would be appreciated.
Cioci Claire was loved by all who knew her. We will all miss her wonderful baked goodies such as her cakes, cookies and pies.
