Ruth E. Weir passed away on May 13, 2017. She was 91. Born in Kearny she moved to Seaside Park in 1992. Visiting is Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. Mass Wednesday 10 a.m. in St. Cecilias Church and burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Ruth was a lovely woman who truly enjoyed her family at home and her family at St Catherine of Sienna Church in Seaside Park. She loved her home by the beach and riding her bike on the boardwalk. She enjoyed her exercise classes and dancing and what a good cook! Now she has earned her final reward and is home with the Lord and her beloved husband and daughter.
Ruth was the wife of the late Colin "Sonny" Weir and was the mother of Colin Weir (Debra), Steven Weir (Marlana) and Caryn Weir, Christine Buerle (Eugene) and the late Cynthia Petterson. (Eugene). Sister of the late Elsie Yulle she is also survived by her thirteen grandchildren; Colin Weir (Lisa), Steven Weir, Kevin Weir (Olivia), Marianne Lowe (Christian), Kristin Petterson, Carly Herzing (Shelley), Amanda Bray, Chelsea Wiggins, Madeline Buerle, Christopher Buerle, Robert Silliman (Cristan), Jonathan Silliman and Lindsay Daniels (Cameron) and her twelve great grandchildren; Sophie, Elijah, Adeline, Ella, Isaiah, Charlotte, Kyla, Mazie, Zeke, Cailee, Crew and Elizabeth.
