Jane Theresa Capuano, nee Nowakowski, passed away on December 16, 2013 at the age of 65. Born in Newark, she lived in Kearny for the last thirty years. Jane completed her undergraduate education at Rutgers University in Newark and went on to complete her graduate education at both Rutgers University and Kean College.
She was a reference librarian at the Newark Public Library, starting in 1972. She was also employed at The Montclair Library and St. Cecilia's School in Kearny.
Jane is survived by her beloved husband Jim and cherished daughter Amy, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will take place Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 am in St. Cecilia's Church, with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
