Thomas F. McShane, Sr., of Kearny, died December 18, 2013 in The Alairis Health Care Center in Kearny. He was 86. Visiting will be on Sunday from 3 until 7 pm at the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive Kearny. Mass Monday 9:30 am in St. Stephens Church, burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. McShane was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He is a retired Letter Carrier from The Postal System in Kearny. He was a Past President of The N.A.L.C. He was a member of The Ancient Order Hibernians and Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his children and their spouses Thomas F. McShane and Ann, Mary McShane-Hagman and Tom, Brian McShane and Imelda and Patricia McShane-Pettigrew and Michael, along with his grandchildren Erin, Thomas, Kristina, Samantha, Michael, Brian, Joseph and Anthony. He was predeceased by his daughter Margie and his siblings Alice Sauer and Lawrence McShane.
