Joseph N. Fugaro, died March 29, 2013 in St. Peters Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 94. Born in Jersey City he lived in Kearny for 68 years. Visiting will be on Tuesday from 4 until 8 pm at the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive Kearny. Mass Wednesday at 10 30 am in St. Stephens Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Fugaro is a WWII veteran and took part of The "D" day invasion. He was a Purple Heart Recipient and was a member of The West Hudson South Bergen D.A.V. Chapter 25. Joe is a retired machine repairman from Parker-Kalon in Clifton. He previously worked for Acme Tool.
Husband of the late Yolanda (nee Scerbo) He is survived by his son Joesph, his daughter Karen E. and her husband Larry Poirier. His daughter in law, Louise, died only two weeks ago.
Also surviving are his grandchildren Natalie (Billy) Crisafulli, Keith (Kristen) and Lauren and his great grandchildren Vincent and Juliette.
