Bernard McCarthy, of Kearny, died March 6, 2013 at home. He was 85. Visiting will be on Monday March 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive Kearny. Mass Tuesday 10 am in St. Cecilias Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. McCarthy served in The Navy and was a member of The St. Cecilias Knights of Columbas. Husband of the late Marie (McGarril) he is survived by his children and their spouses Brian McCarthy, John and Jeanette McCarthy and Karenanne and John Weins. Brother of Lorraine Starr he is also survived by his grandchildren Mary Catherine, Meghan, John, Brian and Jamie.
