Carmella Petito "Millie" died peacefully at home on May 27, 2014. She was 100 years old. Born in Newark she lived most of her life in Kearny. Visiting will be on Friday from 3-7 p.m. at the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive Kearny. Mass Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stephens Church. Millie worked at ITT in Nutley during WWII. She and her husband John established and operated The Sunset Deli in Kearny. She enjoyed St. Stephens Church and the social groups there.
Wife of the late John Petito, she is survived by her son Joseph and his wife Sally Petito and her daughter Tina Antonelli. Grandmother of Donna Petito, Lisa (Paul) Dispoto, John Petito, Christine (Gordon) Smith, Dominick Antonelli and Carmela Antonelli.. She the great grandmother of Kara, Dean, Laura and Jacqueline. Millie was predeceased by her brother and sisters Nick Roio, Catherine Spain and Mary Colanino.
