Gerard W. Cacavella died July 31, 2014 at The Arbor Glen Center in Cedar Grove. He was 94. Born in Newark he lived most of his life in Harrison. Visiting will be on Monday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny.
The funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church in Harrison and burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Jerry, a retired Garden State Parkway Toll Collector, served in The Army during W.W. II. He was very devoted to St. Gerard and was member of The Society of St. Gerard at St. Lucy Church in Newark. He was also a member of The Northern N.J. Musicians Guild. He was active with the Senior Groups in Harrison, Kearny, Rutherford and St. Stephens Church in Kearny.
