Julian Jacek, 80, of Kearny, N.J., passed away at home unexpectedly on Friday, November 27, 2015.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Wilfred Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, N.J. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 10 am at St. Casimir's Church, 91 Pulaski Street, Newark, with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, N.J.
Born in Nowa Wies, Poland, Mr. Jacek served in the army before immigrating to the United States in 1966. He lived in Newark before moving to Kearny in 1980. He worked at Federal Pacific Electric Company in Newark. Then he was a Shipping Clerk for P & K Pole Products in Newark, N.J., finally retiring when the company closed.
He was also a faithful parishioner of St. Casimir's Church.
Julian is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jozefa Jacek (nee Barc); son, Bruno (formerly married to Tracy Youst); daughter and son-in-law, Diane & Patrick Porcaro Jr.; and son, Richard. Brother of Antoni Jacek. Also surviving are his grandchildren Adam & Dale Jacek & Jessica Porcaro. He was predeceased by his parents, Agnieszka Jacek and Jozef Kucharzyk and brothers, John and Walenty Jacek.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St.Casimir's Church.
