Brady, Audrey (Jones), 89, North Arlington passed away, at home, on July 1, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Kearny, NJ to the late William and Estelle Jones, Audrey grew up in Kearny and graduated from Katharine Gibbs School and later attended Jersey City State College as an Early Childhood Education major.
Audrey resided in North Arlington for the past 64 years and was the beloved wife of the late Howard M. Brady; loving mother of MaryJane Demille and her husband Stephen, Kathleen Moore and her husband Craig, Howard Brady and his wife Ana, Amy Eskilson and her husband John and Ann Lozier and her husband David. Cherished grandmother to Scott, Kyle, Brady and his wife Genevieve, Stephen, Madelyn, Mollie, Brandon, and Shannon. Audrey was predeceased by her granddaughter Sarah.
Audrey dedicated her life to others as a devoted mother to her five children and as a mentor and teacher. After working at The Psychiatric Institute in Newark for fifteen years she volunteered for many years at the Cerebral Palsy Literacy Center at Clara Mass Medical Center in Belleville and the English as a Second Language program at the North Arlington Public Library. Audrey was a member of the Rosary Society of Queen of Peace Church where she spent countless hours in service to others.
Visiting hours will be held at The Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny on Sunday July 5, 2015 from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. in Queen of Peace Church, Ridge Rd., North Arlington. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
