Maria Loureiro passed away on January 5, 2016. She was 66. Born in Santa Comba Dao, Portugal she lived in Newark before moving to Kearny 10 years ago. Visiting will be Friday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at The Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. Mass will be Saturday morning at 9:00 am in Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Kearny. Private cremation will follow.
Maria is the daughter of the late Jose Alves Ferreira Batista and Maria Alice Souse. She is survived by herformer husband Carlos and her daughter and son in law Carla and Hugo Matias. Also surviving Maria are her sisters and brothers Luiza, Irine, Rosa, Luis, Joao, Jose and Elena and her grandchildren Gabriela and Bruno.
