Dean Kemph

As a New England boy, Dean was an avid fan of Boston sports teams. He was an even bigger fan of the Grateful Dead. He brought that same energy and passion to his countless roles in the community--member of the Hoboken Waterfont Commission and council-campaign teams, writer of memorable politically charged letters to the editor, coach of the Redheads women's softball team and three different girls' softball teams in Hoboken and Weehawken, strong supporter and booster of the arts, and emcee and auctioneer for various fund-raisers at Hoboken Charter School and The Hudson School. Dean loved his community and worked to make it a better place - but most of all, he loved people.

Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of his life on Saturday, November 19, 2016 between the hours of 1 and 4 p.m. atAll Saints Episcopal Parish 707 Washington Street Hoboken, NJ .

Dean's sudden heart attack has deeply saddened his loving familyand vast circle of friends. He leaves behind his best friend and loving wife, Annie Torpey, his adoring girls Delia and Emory, his loving brother Steven and his wife Kate as well as his mother in law, Nancy Torpey.
