Gilbert "Gil" Vazquez 79, of Whiting formerly of Kearny and North Arlington died on July 16, 2016 at home.
Visiting will be at The Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive Kearny on Tuesday 4-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be officiated on Wednesday at 11am at St. Stephen's Church, Kearny. Interment Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery, Union.
Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Mr. Vazquez lived in North Arlington and Kearny before moving to Whiting 5 years ago.
He was an Inventory Control Inspector with Westinghouse, Newark for many years before his retirement.
He is the beloved husband of 54 years of Lena Seeley Vazquez. Father of Robert (MeLane) Vazquez, Debra Simon and Richard (Marybeth) Vazquez. Grandfather of Robert, Tyler, Abigail, Andrea, Gabrielle, Ryan, Isabella and Michael. Mr. Vazquez was one of 14 children born to Felix and Angela Vazquez.
