Daniel Patrick McCann III 51, of Wall formerly of Manasquan and Kearny died on his birthday at home on September 16, 2016.
Visiting will be at The Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive Kearny on Tuesday 4-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be officiated on Wednesday at 10AM at St. Cecilia's Church, Kearny. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Miami, Florida Daniel lived in Kearny and Manasquan before moving to Wall after marrying his wife, Stefanie.
He was an EMT with the Township of Nutley for the past 10 years and an EMT since he was 18 years old.
He was a New Jersey Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at the age of 18 years. He was a former volunteer on The Kearny Volunteer Emergency Rescue Squad, he was a volunteer with The North Arlington Volunteer Emergency Squad, where he met his wife , Stefanie 20 years ago and he was recently honored for 25 years of service with the Manasquan Fire Department. Daniel was also the President of The Professional Car Society North East Chapter.
He is the beloved husband of Stefanie (Melton) McCann. Son of Daniel, Jr. and Dorothy Mauer McCann. Brother of Mary Beth Wilkinson (John Capone) and Laura Jo McCann. Son in law of Steve and Sharon Trignano Melton. Grandson of the late Daniel P. and Margaret Farrell McCann and Oscar J. and Mary J. Moran Mauer. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
