Deborah A Mangin

Deborah A, Mangin, of Kearny (nee McKeon), passed away at home surrounded by her

loving family on April lo, 2017. She was 57. Visiting will be on Monday April 17,2017 from 4

until 8 p.m. at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home, Kearny. Mass Tuesday 10:30 a.m. St.

Stephens Church and entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Debbie was a life-long resident of Kearny and was employed as a Teacher's Aide in Garfield

School working with the Kindergarten children she loved. She also enjoyed gardening,

taking care of her home and relaxing pool-side after all her hard work. She was active in the

PTA for Garfield and Roosevelt Schools and is a former Vice-President of the V.H. Sawtelle

Learning Center's Parent-Teacher Organization. Debbie was a long-time advocate of autistic

children and helped countless parents of children with autism on effective teaching

methods. She is also a past member of the Hudson County Democratic Committee and the

Kearny Environmental and Beautification Committee.

Debbie is the wife of James A. Mangin and proud mother of her two son, Christopher and

Kyle Mangin. She is the sister of Colleen Amirr (Joseph) and Aunt of Bridget Haine

(Matthew) and Ashley Amirr (Joseph Pizzi, Jr.). She is pre-deceased by her parents John

(Bucky) and Patricia McKeon. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and

her great-niece Brielle and great-nephew Myles, who she adored. In lieu of flowers kindly
