Helen F. Tate, of Kearny, died May 21.
She was 89.
Visiting and a prayer service took place Friday, May 26, at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. Cremation was private.
Helen was a member of St. Stephens Church, the Harmony and Friendship Clubs, AARP, Seniors Inc. and the Salvation Army Home League, all in Kearny.
The wife of the late Frank McCarthy and Curtis Tate, she is survived by her sons Edward McCarthy (Judith) and James McCarthy (Barbara).
Sister of Catherine Lipinski, she is also survived by her grandchildren Justine, Jonathan and Lance.
