Marie Martello (nee D'Arc), lifelong Kearny resident died peacefully at home on January 2, 2018. She joined her beloved husband John J. Martello in heaven. She was 88. Visiting is Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. The funeral Home will also receive visitors on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. and the funeral prayers will be held in The Mausoleum Chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery at 10:30 a.m.
Marie is survived by her loving children Donna Martello, Michael J. Martello (Diane) and Dara Spillane (Joseph). Sister of Anne Dittman and the late Eleanor Doner and Genieve Bucco. She is also survived by her grandchildren John (Melissa), Michael, Nicholas, Gina and Rachel; great-grand-daughter Julie; her devoted family friend Salvatore Carfagna and beloved care giver Nana Antidze. Marie enjoyed running a ceramic studio for many years. In lieu of flowers kindly consider a donation to the American Heart Association.
