Lucena Klassmann passed away on September 7, 2018. She was 69. Born in Chapeco, Brazil, she lived in Kearny for the past 30 years. Visiting will be on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Lucena was one of 15 brothers and sisters in Brazil. She is survived by her loving daughter Anna Carolina Klassmann De Souza and her beloved husband Marc Cutillo. She was an active member of St. Stephan’s Grace Community Church in Newark and was dedicated to helping the less fortunate men and women of our community. She volunteered at homeless shelters and distributed food every Sunday to hard-working immigrants of the area. She actively walked to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research and survivors and was a proud big sister for Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
