Baltazar Marques Baptista, 61 of Newark passed away on October 19, 2019.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Baltazar at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Tuesday October 22, 2019 from 7-9 PM, with a funeral service being celebrated at 8:30 PM. Burial will take place in Portugal.
Born in Portugal, Baltazar moved with his family to Newark in 1970, residing there ever since. Baltazar was a simple man who enjoyed watching TV and listening to his favorite music. He also liked to visit his local coffee shops daily, but most treasured time spent with family, always looking forward to the next gathering.
Baltazar was predeceased by his parents Hilario and Augusta Baptista. He was the loving brother of Maria Soares and her husband Manuel, Manuel Baptista and his wife Maria, Maria Aurora Baptista, Maria Augusta Tavares and her husband Rui, and the late Hilario and Ernesto Baptista.
