Mildred Helen (Hesford) Wilson, passed away on October 24, 2019. She was 108 years old. Graveside prayers will be held on Monday October 28, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. in The Arlington Cemetery in Kearny.
Born July 16, 1911 in Bedford, MA to Benjamin and Elizabeth (Hoyle) Hesford. Mildred was the youngest and last surviving of six children: Elizabeth (Barber), Theodor, Ernest, Evelyn (Tiernan) and Norman.
Mildred married James Wilson in 1929. James was in the 245th Battalion Army Air Force from 1942 to 1945. The couple resided in the home they built in 1950 at 79 Boston Ave, North Arlington. Mildred retired from the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company (A & P) in 1973 where she worked in the laundry facility. Her beloved husband James passed in 1994.
In 2018 Mildred moved to Liverpool, NY to an assisted living apartment to be near family.
Millie will be genuinely missed by all she knew and met. Her smile, wit and sweet temperament were an inspiration to all.
