ROSEMARY CORBETT
70, loving wife, mother and grandmother

Rosemary Corbett (nee Johnstone) passed peacefully away Monday, February 18, 2019 at St. Barnabas Medical Center surrounded by her family. 

Born in Jersey City, NJ, Mrs. Corbett was a lifelong resident of Kearny. 

She had worked as a clerk at the West Hudson Hospital in Kearny, and later as a secretary to the Dean of Discipline at Kearny High School before her retirement. 

Mrs. Corbett was a parishioner at St. Stephen's Church in Kearny, a member of the Kearny PBA Local 21 Women's Auxiliary, a founding member of the Kearny High School Project Graduation Committee, and was a volunteer with the Kearny Prevention Coalition.  

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, John J. Corbett Sr.; two beloved children, John J. Corbett Jr. and his wife Kristin of Kearny, and Marykate Parkinson and her husband Robert of Rutherford; and her five cherished grandchildren, Jack, Fiona, James, Finn, and Cormac. Rosemary is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, George Johnson and Jim and BetteAnne Corbett; her uncles and aunt, Donald, Doug, Ron, and Eleanor Johnstone; and her lifelong friend, Mary Grodkiewicz. Rosemary will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Rosemary’s family would like to thank Dr. Christopher Boni for his expertise, kindness, support, and friendship over the years.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday, Feb. 21, 4-8pm at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr., Kearny. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 22, 10am at St. Stephen's Church, Kearny. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Kindly omit flowers.
