Ramon Munoz 94, of Elizabeth formerly of Newark died on April 8, 2019 at home.
Visiting will be at The Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive Kearny on Wednesday 3-5 & 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be officiated on Thursday at 10am at St. Cecilia’s Church, Kearny. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Born in Cantillo Baracoa, Cuba, Mr. Munoz immigrated to The United States settling in Newark before moving to Elizabeth in 1980.
He was the owner and founder of Florida Shoe Store and Bostonian Shoe Store both in Newark for 20 years.
He is the beloved husband of 64 years of Zenaida Noa Munoz. Father of Raymond (Luly) and Francisco (Nora) Munoz, Vilma (Mario) Cortes, Guillermo (Magaly) and Alejandro (Sheryl) Munoz. Brother of Raul Munoz and the late Juanito, Recaredo, Leonardo, and Jaime Munoz. Grandfather of Marilyn, Mario, Karina, Nathalie, Francisco, Isabel, Alejandro (Jena), Melanie, Rebecca, Ramon, Nicolas, Emma, Angela, Mateo and Elias. Great Grandfather of Mark, Lucas, Maci and Jack.
