Amada G. Capote (nee Lopez), 85 of Kearny passed away at home on July 25, 2019.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Amada on Sunday July 28, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny. Funeral services begin on Monday July 29, 2019 at 9:30 AM at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Queen of Peace Church in North Arlington at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Florida Camaguey, Cuba, Amada lived in Newark before moving to Kearny in 1990. As her family’s beloved peacemaker, she fiercely loved and cared for her husband, children and grandchildren.
Amada was the beloved wife to the late Rigoberto F. Capote. She was the loving mother of Rigoberto E. Capote and Ricardo Capote; cherished grandmother of Candise, Katarina, Kristen, Caroline, Catherine and Christine, and dear great-grandmother of Caira, and Camilla, who is “on the way”.
