Hannah Delaney (nee Brennan), 88 of Kearny passed away on September 21, 2019.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation for Hannah at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Church on Thursday at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Scotland, Hannah sailed with her family on the Queen Elizabeth, bound for Kearny in 1967. She has resided there ever since, originally living with her relatives Ellen & Robert, Aunt Mae and the kids Steven, Robert and Karen, who sponsored their passage to the United States. Hannah worked various jobs in the area, spending time at Hyatt, General Motors, dry cleaning and retail stores for many years before retiring. Known and loved for her great sense of humor; Hannah most enjoyed listening to traditional Scottish music, and to the jokes from Billy Connelly. A very kind woman, Hannah was always there for loved ones in need, and will be greatly missed.
Hannah was the beloved wife of the late James Delaney who passed away in 2001. She was the loving mother of James Delaney, and dear sister of Ella Brady. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
