Joanne Diglio

Joanne Diglio (nee Bongiovanni) passed away at home January 11, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was 71. Born in Jersey City she lived in Kearny before moving to Glen Ridge in 1972. Visiting will be on Tuesday January 14, 2020 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. Mass Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in ST. Stephens Church and burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. 

Joanne was an Executive Content Producer, last working for DDB in NYC. She was a highly awarded Producer in advertising. After tragically losing her beloved son Michael she became extremely active with The Morris County Opiod Task Force and The Essex Health and Wellness Recovery Center at St. Michael's Hospital in Newark. She was a dedicated member of The Ammon Foundation and was Volunteer of the Year for helping people recover from addiction. Joanne was also instrumental in organizing The Glen Ridge Arts Festival for over 20 years. And she was especially involved in The Glen Ridge Art Parents Association which secures arts scholarships for graduating seniors.

Wife of Peter Diglio, she was also the mother of Amanda Goodwin (James), Melissa Diglio Healy (Dennis) and the late Michael Diglio. Sister of the late Nicholas Bongiovanni and the late Frances Travisano. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Keiller, Maggie, Erin, Lillia and Cora along with many loving nieces and nephews and their families.
