Joseph P. Pereira, 64 of North Arlington passed away on November 16, 2020.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Joseph at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Friday from 6-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Saturday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Portugal, Joseph was a longtime Kearny resident until moving to North Arlington several years ago. He was self-employed and provided fresh produce to local restaurants for many years. Joseph was an avid fan of auto racing, but most cherished time spent with his family.
Joseph was the beloved husband of Deborah (nee Modzelewski) Pereira; loving father of Joseph Pereira and his fiance Laura, Jeremy Pereira and Jennifer Pereira. He was the dear brother of Maria Sellinger and her husband Phil, Lisa Sotolongo and her husband John, Christina Barros and her husband Donnie, Antonio Pereira and his wife Bella, Manuel Pereira and his wife Ana, and brother-in-law of Aurea. He was predeceased by his brothers Americo and Mario Pereira, and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
