Agnes was born June 18, 1929 on Windsor Street in Hamilton, Scotland. After marrying Claude Neilson on March 26, 1949, they moved to America and settled in Kearny, NJ, where they would begin a new chapter in their lives. She had a great love for baking her Scottish treats. She would often bake and donate her items for charity. She also had a great talent for sewing and knitting. But what is remembered most about Agnes is the never-ending love and compassion she showed toward her family, friends and even strangers. Agnes leaves behind three children, Robert Neilson, Elizabeth Teixeira (Arlindo) and Andrew Neilson (Christine Ford); 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
