John Fitzpatrick "Jack" passed away on February 3, 2020. He was 88. Born in Newark, NJ he lived most of his life in Kearny and North Arlington before moving to Dingmans Ferry PA. in 2005.

Jack was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickenson University and Seton Hall University. He received his Industrial Arts teaching Certificate from Jersey City State University. He retired in 1993 from Picatinny Arsenal as Engineer for The U.S. department of Defense. He served in The Navy during The Korean Conflict where he had served on The USS Saipan Aircraft Carrier from 1950-1952. He reenlisted in The Navy Mobile Construction Battalion "Seabees" from 1965-1975. During his Kearny High School days he was Captain of The KHS State Championship Track and Cross Country Team. He was later inducted into Kearny High School Athletic Hall of Fame . Jack was a 32nd degree Mason, Livingston Lodge. He was a member of The Scottish Rite, The Jesters and The Shriners. He was a life member of The White Hunting Club in Shohola, PA., Life member of The Warren County Rod and Gun Club in Asbury, NJ, Life member of Tri County Rod and Rifle Club in Fairfield, NJ and was a life member of the NRA.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Rachel (Shearer), his son and daughter in law Robert and Geri Fitzpatrick and his granddaughter Megan. In lieu of flowers kindly consider a donation to The Shriners Hospital.
