John Joseph Mleziva, 66 of Nutley, passed away on April 11, 2020 at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge.
Funeral services are private, in the care of the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home in Kearny. A memorial gathering will be announced at a later date.
Born in Newark, John was a lifelong Nutley resident. A graduate of Bloomfield College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, John worked as a Restaurant Manager for IHOP Restaurant in Hasbrouck Heights, and later supported in Food and Beverage for the Nutley Board of Education. An accomplished traveler, John enjoyed taking frequent cruises with his wife. He also enjoyed all things antique cars, especially driving his cherished 1968 Ford Galaxie 500.
John was the beloved husband of Josephine (nee Cacavella) Mleziva; loving father of Jeffrey Mleziva and his wife Sonia; dear brother of James Mleziva and his late wife Carol, Elanna Aeschbach, Mary Costa and her husband Joseph, and George Mleziva. He is also survived by his treasured grand-dog Meatball Linguini, and by many loving nieces and nephews.
