Edmond A. Saad, M.D.

Dr. Edmond A. Saad, 87 of Boonton Township passed away on January 12, 2021.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Dr. Saad at St. John the Beloved and St. Mary Magdalene Coptic Orthodox Church, 270 Whippany Rd. Whippany on Thursday January 14 from 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at the church on Friday at 11 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home in Kearny.

Born in Port Said, Egypt, Dr. Saad came to the US in 1971, settling in East Orange. He and his family later lived in Upper Montclair for many years until moving to Boonton Township five years ago. Dr. Saad was an accomplished orthopedic surgeon, operating his practice in Kearny for many years until his retirement. Dr. Saad could always be relied upon to help those in need, and he spent much time traveling the world, providing good medical care to the less fortunate. He was especially proud to help in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Dr. Saad was the beloved husband of the late Odette N. Saad. He was the loving father of Dr. Nadim Saad and his wife Hala, and James Saad; devoted grandfather of Raimy, Audrie and Abigail, and dear brother of Yvonne Soliman, Isis Saad and Amir Saad.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
