Edward A. Conlon, 92 of Manahawkin passed away on December 17, 2021.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Edward at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Thursday from 9 - 10:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Kearny, Edward was a longtime resident until moving to his summer home in Manahawkin upon his retirement. He proudly served in the army during the Korean War. Edward worked for Bond Baking Company as a bread man, truck driver and finally a supervisor. Later, he owned and operated Schuyler Printing in Kearny.
Edward was a member of the Manahawkin Elks #2340, Manahawkin Moose Lodge, the Knights of Columbus in Harrison, American Legion in Harrison, VFW on Long Beach Island, and was also a past board member of Pathways to Independence in Kearny.
Edward was the beloved husband of Vera A. Conlon (nee Revill); loving father of Sharon Baguchinsky (Stanley), Karen Evilsizor (Jerry), Edward Conlon, William Conlon, Thomas Conlon, and Vera Allen (Thomas); proud grandfather of Jessica, Elizabeth, Stanley, Jason, Ryan, Andrew, Edward and Sean; cherished great-grandfather of Emma, Eleanor, Summer, Mason and Juliet. He was the dear brother of Rose Marie Conlon, and was predeceased by his sister Loretta Conlon.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Manahawkin Elks Lodge.
