Angela Quinn passed away on February 17, 2021. She was 65. Born in Glasgow Scotland she lived in Harrison before moving to Kearny. Arrangements are by Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home in Kearny. Relatives and friends are invited to Mass on Saturday February 27, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Stephens Church and then cremation will be private.
Angela was the wife of the late Francis Quinn and beloved mother of Lauren Quinn and Amanda Quinn (Steve Ockler). Devoted daughter to the late Eddie and Moira Austin. Dear sister of Edward Austin (Marcia), aunt to Erin and Eddie Austin. She is also survived by her loving cousins, extended relatives in Scotland and many lifelong friends.
Angela worked at Roadway Express in South Kearny, where she held many positions ranging from executive assistant to sales associate. She loved to read and was an avid crossword puzzler. She enjoyed movies, going to the ballet and Broadway shows, trying new restaurants, attending concerts, dancing, traveling with family, and weekends down the shore with friends. Angela was diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy, a rare and debilitating neurodegenerative disease about 15 years ago. It slowed her down but it didn’t stop her. She traveled abroad as well as around the United States and enjoyed many girl’s weekends with friends. She did everything she could to enjoy life despite the circumstances and through it all she never stopped smiling.
The family would like to acknowledge her loving caretaker, Ama Grant for her dedication and love of Angela.
In lieu of flowers kindly consider a donation to the Multiple System Atrophy Coalition.
