Helen Blasi (nee Flynn), 101 of Morristown, formerly of Harrison passed away on June 15, 2021.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Monday June 21 from 8:30 to 10 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church in Harrison at 10:30 AM, and burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Harrison, Helen was a lifelong resident. She worked at Bamberger’s in Newark as a furniture salesperson, and at RCA in Harrison as a tube tester until her retirement. Helen was very active in the town of Harrison, and was involved in the Senior’s Club there for many years. A devoted parishioner of Holy Cross Church, Helen was a member of their rosary society and also sang in the choir.
The beloved wife of the late Charles Blasi, Helen was the loving mother of James Blasi and his wife Oli, Eileen Verdi and her husband the late John, Patricia Casey and her husband James, Nancy Kennedy, and the late Donald Blasi. She was the devoted grandmother of Michael and Brian Verdi, Chris, Shawn and Jennifer Casey, and Dawn, Thomas and Cara Kennedy, and dear great-grandmother of seven.
