Margaret Ann (Peggy) Mintz nee Roarty, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022, in her home in Boynton Beach Florida. At the time of passing she was with her two daughters and friend Carol Nucifora.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Margaret at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Friday November 11 from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Saturday November 12 at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Peggy was born October 16, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the child of Margaret (McGrory) and Patrick Roarty. Peggy is survived by her sister Kathleen (Bill) Smith and sister-in-law Audrey Polito. She was preceded in death by her siblings Rosemary Johnson and James Roarty.
Peggy was a proud Brooklyn native. She was a strong woman who raised four children by herself in Fair Lawn, NJ. In 1981 she moved to Pompton Lakes, NJ and enjoyed traveling around the world. In 2010 she moved to Boynton Beach, Florida full time, where she was active in the JCC, going to the gym and taking educational classes. Peggy had a wonderful way of making people feel special.
Peggy was a loving and devoted mother of four children, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Son, the late Peter, and his wife Mary Ellen Cameron. Their children Brian (Courtney) Cameron, Kevin (Sinead) Cameron, their son Declan and Erin Cameron. Daughter, Kathe Cameron, her son Ryan (Michelle) Stern, their children Harper, Charlotte and Cameron, and Kathe's son David Solon. Daughter, Mary (Carole White) Cameron. Son, John (Barbara Reich) Cameron, and John's daughter Marley Cameron.
