Blair, Jr. and cherished mother of Eileen Blair and Danny Blair (his wife Margaret). She was predeceased by her brother Thomas “Tommy” Hanney and is survived by her sister in law Geraldine and her granddaughter Jillian Blair along with many other great family members and friends .
Patsy was a proud “Yonkers girl” and loved her life in Kearny, enjoying the heyday of the Scots and Irish. In Yonkers she lived in a wonderful multi family home known as “Irish on the Hill “ and shared many laughs and happy times with family and friends at “Club 48”. One of her most cherished part of life was at the Jersey Shore where she met the love of her life Raymond Louis Blair, Jr. They married on June 15, 1968 and raised a wonderful, loving family where family and strong faith became her foundation in life. Not to mention continued summer vacations at the Jersey Shore.
She loved her Irish heritage and visited Ireland in 2007 and 2012. She was a devoted sportswoman rooting for the Yankees and Notre Dame. Known for her kindness and encouragement she was famous for her big hugs.
Patsy was a stage 4 breast cancer survivor for over 20 years and credited her faith for helping her victoriously fight and win her cancer battle. Her quiet resolve and will to live was truly inspirational to all who knew her. Patsy’s family wishes to acknowledge and thank Dr. Michael Scoppetuolo and the team at RWJ Barnabas Cancer Center for their compassionate care.
