Sofia “Susy” Rodriguez of Harrison passed away on July 9, 2022. She was 94 years old. Born in La Coruna, Spain she lived in Newark before moving to Harrison in 1971. Visiting will be Thursday July 14, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. Her Funeral Mass will be on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Newark. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
“Susy” owned and operated Susy’s Beauty Salon in Newark for many years. She is the wife of the late Alfredo Rodriguez, mother of Cristina Lambert, Betty Rodriguez Santana and George Rodriguez. She is also survived by her sister Maria Carmen Alonso, her grandchildren; Christina, Michael, Kyra Sofia, Patrick, Alexandra and Max along with her great grandchildren Cecelia, Emily, Devin, Jordan and Benjamin.
