Abzal Frank Ashok Nobbee, 83, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 22, 2023. A devout Hindu, his rituals and cremation will be on Wednesday October 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rosedale Cemetery 408 Orange Road in Montclair.
Born to Hamid and Rasulan Nobbee on January 12, 1940, Frank grew up in Trinidad and Tobago, where he loved the beach, his many pets, gardening, and watching cricket.
He became a teacher, where his compassion and caring nature helped him meet his loving wife, Kalawatee Sharma. Married for 57 years, they had two sons and a fulfilling life together.
Frank was hard-working, fun-loving, and easy-going, and spent his last two decades of life in Kearny, NJ. He was the beloved father of Varune and wife Judy, and Ranjeev and wife Shicha. More than anything, he adored his 2 grandchildren, Kavir, 2, and Nikita, 7 months, with whom he lived and looked after with so much love and attention. He will be missed dearly by all. Husband, dad, and aajaa, we love you.
