Manuel Dantas Pedreira passed away on October 5, 2023. He was 87 years of age. Born in Azere, Figueiredo, Arcos de Valdevez, Portugal he lived in Newark before moving to Kearny in 1976. Visiting will be on Tuesday October 10, 2023 from 4 until 8:00 p.m. at The Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive Kearny. His Mass will be on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church in Newark and entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum in North Arlington.
Manuel was a Baker for many years at Pechters in Harrison. He is survived by his loving wife Aurora (nee Barreira) and cherished daughters; Lucinda P. Lima (her husband Jose) and Sandra P. Teixeira (her husband Pedro). Brother of Maria Dantas Pedreira , Alexandre Dantas and Armando Pedreira (deceased). He is also survived by his grandchildren; Manuel (his wife Melissa), Diana (her husband Victor), Kaitlyn, Karina, Alexa and Marisa along with his great grandchildren; Victoria and Sebastian. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
