Emma Rainey, Toms River formerly of Kearny, beloved wife of Ira “Wimpy” Kaywork” died peacefully on Sunday December 3, 2023. She was 88. visiting will be on Wednesday December 6, 2023 at Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive in Kearny from 3 until 7:00 p.m. The service will be on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home and burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery.
Emma worked for Bergen County Senior Center in Lyndhurst, NJ as a nutrition director from 1979 until 2006.
Emma was predeceased by her sister Beatrice Tomeo and brothers Robert and James Rainey.
She is survived by her husband Ira, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Muriel Elsmore along with loving nieces and nephews.
