Catalina Battista, 94, of Newark passed away peacefully on February, 16. 2023. Born in Entre Rios, Argentina, Catalina immigrated to New York in 1965 where she began her life with her family. Devoted mother of Juan Carlos Carrillo, Alicia H. Fryer and her husband Larry, and Maria A. Ormeno-Bertorelli and her husband Tony. Loving grandmother of Jonathan, Cheryl, Alison, Alejandro, Abbie, Lani, and Christopher. Cherished great grandmother of Jamie Jack, Indie, Stella, Catalina, Harrison, Dani, Catalina, Faye, Olive, Mika and Baylon.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Saturday, 8:30am-11am, in Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny.
A mass of christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30am in Queen of Peace Church, N. Arlington.
Private cremation will follow.
