Ramon Paz-Esquen, 78 of Kearny passed away on February 5, 2023.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Ramon at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Thursday from 5-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 7:30 PM. Cremation will be held privately.
Born in Chiclayo, Peru, Ramon came to the United States in 1989, and settled in Harrison. He was a longtime resident until moving to Kearny seven years ago. Ramon was a contractor, working in the construction business for many years. He also worked for the Rosa Agency. Ramon was cool, calm and collected. A selfless man, his caring nature showed through his work, and was reflected deeply in his love for his family. Ramon enjoyed competing in billiards, and could often be found playing with his friends at Max’s Diner in Harrison. He was also an avid fan of boxing, mixed martial arts and soccer; especially when Barcelona was playing. Ramon was easygoing, understanding and compassionate. His love for his wife, children, stepchildren and grandchildren will never be forgotten.
Ramon was the beloved husband of Maria Gadea; loving father of Rosario, Hugo, Juan, Carla and Cesar, and cherished stepfather of Claudia Gadea, Peter Gadea and Carlos Rodriguez. He was the proud grandfather of Marco Oliveira, Jr. and Alexander Gadea. He is also survived by his sisters Maria and Carmen, brothers Juan and Jose, and cousin Teresa Paz.
