James G. Cowley “Gary” passed away on April 11, 2023. He was 69 years of age. Private arrangements are by the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home in Kearny.
Gary was self employed and owned G C Contracting in Nutley, specializing in roofing and siding. He was the husband of the late Becky (nee Loftus ). He is survived by his loving children; his daughter Nicole Cowley (Ben Gelb), his step son Keith Williams (Sandra De Barros) and his son Brian Cowley. He was also the brother of Bob Cowley, Carol Sheridan, George Cowley, Ed Cowley, the late JoAnn Villaronga, the late Patrick Cowley and the late Michael Cowley.
Gary was an avid sports fan and loved everything Rutgers, the New York Yankees, and the New Your Giants. He loved watching old re-runs on Me TV, the Price is Right and could beat anybody on Jeopardy with his trivia skills.
