Maria Rivera de Jesus passed away at home on May 25, 2023. She was 83. Born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, she lived in Jersey City before moving to Kearny in 2007. Visiting will be on Thursday June 1, 2023 from 9 a.m. at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive in Kearny. Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephens Church and burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Maria was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Rivera. Loving mother of Antonio Rivera, Jose Rivera, Carmen Rivera-Lopez, Maria Fernandez and the late Maritza Rivera-Lopez. She was the sister of GeorGina, and the late; Ramon, Luisa, Juan, Armando, GeorGina and Pedro. She was also the loving grandmother of Lisy, Tonito, Zukie, Enid, Jose, Yanira, Angie, Sergio, Amairita, Anthony, Yami and the late Jamie and great grandmother of; Ninochka, Carlito, Jose, Xavier, Evelise, Samuelito, Leire, Mikaela, Kidalys, Isabella and Sofia.
