Diletta M. Gerrish “DeeDee” (nee Puzzo, formally Napoli) passed away on May 27, 2023. she was 71. Born in Newark, she lived in Kearny and North Arlington before moving to North Carolina three years ago. Visiting will be on Saturday June 3, 2023 at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive in Kearny beginning at 8:00 a.m. her Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stephens Church and entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington.
Dee was a local hairdresser for many years. She owned Hairsations in Lyndhurst and worked at Pal Joeys and Angel Square both in North Arlington as well as Stylistics in Kearny.
DeeDee was formerly married to Russel Napoli and is currently married to the late Phillip Gerrish. Loving mother of David Napoli (Francesca) and Russel Napoli (Kellee) she is also stepmother to Charron Forster (Chris) and P.J. Gerrish (Jessica). Sister of Anna Arena, Dolores Ezekian, and the late Charles Puzzo, Josephine Jeffery, Steve Puzzo and Anthony Puzzo. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chloe, Gia, Amelia, Leo and Luke and her great grandson Jack.
