Carmen Romero, 77, of East Newark passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, July 24, 2023. Beloved wife of Andres Perez. Devoted mother of Maria Montemuino and her husband Enrique. Loving grandmother of Ivan and Sylvia. Dear friend of Esther Sieira and her husband Antonio. Carmen moved from Galicia, Spain in November 2022 to spend more time with her family. She loved to work the pastures in Galicia and thoroughly enjoyed traveling. She will be missed by many loving family and friends.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Friday, July 28th, from 5-9pm in the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny.
All to meet at the funeral home on Saturday, July 29th, 8:30am in the funeral home.
A mass of christian burial will be celebrated at 10am in Holy Cross Church, Harrison.
Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, North Arlington.

Carmen Romero, de 77 años, de East Newark falleció pacíficamente en su casa rodeada de su amada familia el lunes 24 de julio de 2023. Amada esposa de Andrés Pérez. Devota madre de María Montemuino y de su esposo Enrique. Amorosa abuela de Ivan y Sylvia. Querida amiga de Esther Sieira y su esposo Antonio. Carmen se mudó de Galicia, España en noviembre de 2022 para pasar más tiempo con su familia. Le encantaba trabajar los pastos en Galicia y disfrutaba mucho viajar. Muchos familiares y amigos la extrañarán.
Los familiares y amigos pueden visitarnos el viernes 28 de julio de 5:00 p. m. a 9:00 p. m. en Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny.
Todos para reunirse en la funeraria el sábado 29 de julio a las 8:30 am en la funeraria.
Se celebrará una misa de entierro cristiano a las 10 a. m. en la Iglesia de la Santa Cruz, Harrison.
El entierro seguirá en el cementerio y mausoleo de Holy Cross, North Arlington.
