Frances Levchak, 92 of Kearny passed away at home on September 26, 2023.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Frances at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Thursday September 28 from 5-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church in Kearny on Friday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Frances moved to Kearny in 1949. After the death of her first husband, Frances fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse, and worked as a dedicated LPN at West Hudson Hospital for many years until her retirement 20 years ago.
Frances enjoyed going to plays and listening to music. She always looked forward to going to the beach, and especially cherished trips to Cape May. She was also a dedicated member of the St. Stephen Seniors. Above all, Frances treasured time spent with her family, especially with her adored great-grandson.
Frances was the beloved wife of the late Claudius E. Lambert and Stanley Levchak. She is survived by her loving children Mark Lambert (Anne), Anne Marie Lambert (Bob Bartelt), Barbara Lambert, Suzanne Lambert and Gregory Lambert (Guy Blancato); her granddaughter Dana Pecoraro (Michael), and her wonderful great-grandson Greyson. She was predeceased by her siblings Angela McLaughlin and Mame Hand.
