Lillian Gilmour, 92 of Kearny passed away on September 4, 2023.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Lillian at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Sunday September 10 from 1-4 PM, with a funeral service celebrated in the funeral home at 3:30 PM. Cremation will be held privately.
Born in Kearny, Lillian was a lifelong resident. She worked for the Town of Kearny as a payroll clerk for many years until her retirement 30 years ago. Lillian was an avid traveler who enjoyed adventure. She also cherished time spent with her many friends. A selfless woman, Lillian would help those she loved with anything they needed, without hesitation. She was also a dedicated, longtime member of the Kearny Seniors.
The daughter of the late James and Katherine (nee Scherer) Gilmour, Lillian was also predeceased by her siblings John, Jimmy, Eleanor and William. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Kearny TNR Program, or to the Humane Society of the United States.
