Maria Eulalia Torres, 81 of Harrison passed away on November 20, 2024.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Maria at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Monday November 25 from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church in Harrison on Tuesday at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Lares, Puerto Rico, Mrs. Torres lived in East Newark and Harrison for many years. She had a wonderful gift of hospitality; no one ever left her home hungry. A friendly and joyful woman, Maria made friends everywhere she went given her outgoing personality and generous heart. She will be sorely missed.
Maria was the beloved wife of the late Pedro Torres; loving mother of Maria Montalvo, Carmen Nogueras, Freddy Torres and Yolanda Torres; treasured grandmother of ten, great-grandmother of thirteen and great-great-grandmother one.
