Margaret Foote

Margaret Clara Foote (nee Carlson), passed away peacefully on February 10, 2024 in Whiting, NJ at the age of 95. Margaret was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and friend. She was devoted to her family and led a life of service and faith.

Born on October 22, 1928 in Kearny, NJ, Margaret was a faithful member of the Salvation Army throughout her entire life. She actively participated in various programs, including the Home League, Songsters and Sunbeams. Margaret’s hands were always busy as she expertly knitted baby clothes, prayer shawls and lap robes. She also delighted many with her delicious cookies, breads and pies.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Beverly Seiler and her husband Richard, along with their children Richard Seiler II and Erica Molocknick, who is married to Chad. Her son Allan Foote and his wife Dena, along with their children Nicole Morgan, who is married to Jeff, and Brianna Foote. Her daughter Carol Phelps and her husband Mark, along with their children Megan Miele, who is married to Kevin, and Alexander Phelps. Margaret is also survived by her son George Foote and his wife Donna, along with their children Kristen Colabella, who is married to Michael, Leeann Kelly, who is married to Brendan, Daniel Foote, and Lauren Foote. Additionally, Margaret leaves behind three great-grandchildren, Damien Seiler, Bethany Seiler, Jacob Morgan, and one on the way, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband George, her parents Mary and David Carlson, her brother David Carlson, and by many other relatives.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Margaret at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Wednesday February 14 from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Kearny.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Margaret’s memory to The Salvation Army, The Kearny Corp or the Toms River Community Center, an organization that held a special place in her heart.
