Sidonio “Sid” Santos, 77, of Kearny passed away on March 8, 2024. Born in Portugal, he later immigrated with his family to the United States as a pre-teen, and often recalling where he was the day JFK was shot.
An avid reader, Sid enjoyed books about history and engineering. His brilliant mind allowed him to enjoy a career as a computer engineer, becoming a leader in his trait and supervising a team of engineers, as computers began to be introduced into homes across the United States.
Sid leaves behind two daughters and many family and friends; family was important to him and he enjoyed moments which would bring everyone together.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Tuesday, March 12th from 8:30am-10am in the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30am in St. Stephen's RCC, Kearny.
Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, North Arlington.
